B15 Standard Bulkhead
This instruction is based on the use of a B15 rated bulkhead,
using 19mm thick PROMARINE®-450 and laminated on both sides with 0.8mm thick HPL (high pressure laminate)

Detail A Top and bottom channels

The first step in any
installation is marking-off the positions of the
bulkhead. This is usually done with a chalk line
marked on the deck
|

Bottom channels
PC-15-E
are then cut to length and positioned on this line.
The bottom channel can be secured to the deck by
either tack welding or using self-tapping screws,
depending on type of deck material.

Top channels PC-17-G can
then be marked off and attached to the deckhead,
again by either tack welding or using self-tapping
screws. Care should be taken to align the top. Use
of "plumb lines" and/or "spirit levels" is only
recommended if the vessel is in drydock and stable.
