boards finished with low flame decorative laminates were installed for all Public Spaces and Furniture.
PROMARINE®-450
plain boards faced with Marine Grade Wallpaper were
installed in Crew Accommodation and Bridges areas.
The fire on the 'New Build', 120 metre long,
1000 passengers ferry raged for 3 hours and caused
extensive damage to the car deck, bridge, and
accommodation areas.
Partitions consisted of only a single layer of 19mm
thick
PROMARINE®-450
board (8.6kg/m²) with laminate /
wallpaper yet were able to retain their fire
integrity for the duration of a fully developed fire
which burned for 3 hours.
